Catholic Church of Holy Cross

This historic church is located at Paphos Gate, within the Venetian walls of Nicosia, and is the central parish church of the Roman Catholic community. Its construction was completed in the early twentieth century with the contribution of the Order of the Franciscans, replacing an older structure. Its particular feature is that its rear side abuts exactly on the Green Line, making it a timeless symbol of the divided capital, while it serves a particularly multicultural flock.
