Cave of Saint Ilarionas Episkopi

This ascetic cave is located in the valley of Ezousa in Episkopi in Paphos, hewn into a precipitous rock. It is the authentic space where Saint Hilarion the Great practised asceticism, healed the faithful and finally fell asleep in 371 AD. The space is exceptionally small, holding barely a few people, and is full of religious icons and votive lamps. It is an isolated and holy hesychasterion that attracts visitors for pilgrimage and spiritual contemplation.
