Chapel of Prophet Elias (Ruins)

At the top of a steep rise of the mountain community survive the few ruins and the stone bases of an old, isolated chapel that was dedicated to the Prophet Elias. The location was chosen on the basis of the folk tradition that connects this particular Saint with the high mountain peaks, offering an unlimited panoramic view towards the surrounding valleys of Limassol. Today the site presents strong historic interest, attesting to the old worship customs of the inhabitants before the relocation of the village.
