Chapel of Saint Barbara

This extremely rare and centuries-old chapel is located about two kilometers southeast of Sotira, on the road that leads toward Ayia Napa. It is a single-space structure that was erected by a feudal lord of the period, being one of the very few examples of the late Gothic style in the countryside of the island. Its architectural structure stands out for the pointed arch, the distinctive window frame, and its characteristic corner gutters. The space exudes unique historical devotion, standing as a precious medieval witness that connects the past of the area with the modern ecclesiastical tradition.
