Chapel of Saint Barnabas

At a short distance outside Vasa Koilaniou, following the road to the north, lies the plain country chapel of Saint Barnabas. It is a small, single-aisled religious structure made of stone, which was erected right beside the historic cave where the local saint practised asceticism and was buried. Its interior has a simple wood-carved iconostasis and a few seats, offering an utterly contemplative atmosphere to visitors.
