Chapel of Saint Ephraim

This particular picturesque and plain chapel is located in the community of Mathiatis in the Nicosia district. It is a modern stone structure, whose architecture fully harmonizes with the natural environment of the semi-mountainous area. The church gathers many pilgrims who have particular reverence toward the newly-revealed Saint Ephraim, while owing to its size it functions mainly for prayer and scheduled divine services.
