Chapel of Saint George Pigis

This historic country chapel is located in the countryside of the community and its name is directly connected with the existence of a neighbouring well and an ancient holy spring (agiasma). The structure was radically restored during the first quarter of the twentieth century with the moving voluntary help of the pupils of the local school. Owing to the frequent raids that the area suffered in the past, its valuable icons had been transferred for safety to the central church.
