Chapel of Saint Thomas

This historic and isolated country chapel is built in the valley of the Syrkatis river, on the site of an old, now-abandoned settlement. It is a single-space, vaulted church with visible exterior buttresses, which has been declared an Ancient Monument. Although inside it very few traces of its old wall paintings now survive, the space exudes strong historicity and calm. The structure was fully conserved during the 1980s, keeping its traditional structure intact.
