Church of Apostle Thomas

The small and picturesque country chapel of the Apostle Thomas is a real jewel for the community of Ergates in the Nicosia district. It was erected in the early 20th century and has since been radically renovated twice, with the most recent conservation being completed in 2003 thanks to the actions of the local ecclesiastical committee. The church is inextricably connected with the religious life of the village and celebrates with particular splendour every year on Thomas Sunday.
