Church of Archangel Michael (Ruins)

This historic church is the main church of the community of Patriki in the Famagusta district and is a composite structure that developed in various phases. Its original and older part is a Byzantine church of the cross-in-square type with a dome, which was later expanded with the addition of a narthex and a second continuous church. Unfortunately, after the events of 1974, the monument was completely abandoned and suffered serious damage and plundering, with the result that today it survives in a state of ruin, preserving however its deep historical and religious identity.
