Church of Chrysosotiros

The Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Saviour (also known as Chrysosotiros) is the central church of the community of Sotira in the Limassol district. It is a stone, single-space vaulted church, which was built upon the ruins of an older Byzantine structure. This church preserves the historical and religious heritage of the village, which had developed significantly during Byzantine times, while in its interior it is distinguished by its traditional atmosphere.
