Church of Holy Cross

This imposing church dominates the center of the mountainous village and stands out for its large dome and its two towering bell towers. It replaced an older wooden-roofed church and today hosts a precious wood-carved iconostasis with icons that date from the 16th century. Its most precious relic is a historic cross that bears an authentic fragment of the Holy Wood (True Cross).
