Church of Panagia and Chrysosotiros Kyperountas

This distinctive double-aisled church is nestled within the rich nature of the mountainous village of Pitsilia, surrounded by a beautiful park with a stream. During the period of Venetian rule it functioned as a dual-dedication space of worship, serving at the same time the Orthodox and the Catholic doctrine. The structure bears the characteristic wooden roof of the churches of Troodos, while in its interior stands out the old wood-carved iconostasis and the historic icon of the Panagia holding the Christ Child that dates back to the middle of the sixteenth century.
