Church of Panagia Odigitrias

According to local tradition, this magnificent church is founded upon the ruins of an ancient pagan sanctuary that was dedicated to Asclepius. In the forecourt survives to this day an ancient column that confirms the existence of this prehistoric structure. Its interior is adorned with a historic iconostasis of the 18th century, which received elaborate gilding during the next century.
