Church of Panagia

This holy church is located in the refugee and now occupied suburban settlement of Trachonas in Nicosia. It is a structure of the mid-past century, whose operation was violently interrupted owing to the historical events of the Turkish invasion of 1974. Since then, the church remains inaccessible for the displaced faithful, being a silent symbol of the refuge and the religious heritage of which the lawful residents of the area are deprived.
