Church of Saint Fanourios

This small chapel is built upon a steep seaside rock in occupied Agios Georgios of the Kyrenia district. Right below the church there is a small cave where, according to local tradition, the Saint was killed when he fell with his horse. After 1974 the space does not operate normally and unfortunately presents a picture of abandonment, while it is a point of reference and pilgrimage for the displaced residents of the area.
