Church of Saint George Xerionos

This historic church is the central religious monument in the old, abandoned settlement of Xeria Kavalas. It is a traditional church built in a mountainous location, which is preserved in good condition thanks to the care of the faithful and the local municipality. Although the old village is no longer permanently inhabited, the church opens and holds services during scheduled religious events, such as the annual feast of the Saint.
