Church of Saint Nicholas

The small historic chapel of Saint Nicholas is built at the southern edge of the community of Chloraka in the Paphos district. It is a single-aisled church with a dome, which in the past was the katholikon of an old monastic complex that operated until the mid-19th century. According to local tradition, the little church was built by a ship's captain as thanks to Saint Nicholas who saved him from a violent storm at sea.
