Church of Saint Paraskevi

This newly built stone chapel is located on the mountain road that joins Amiantos with Karvounas, built in the verdant area of Kardama. It was erected by a local family in memory of their son and faithfully follows the architectural models of the traditional chapels of mountainous Cyprus, with a characteristic sloping wooden tiled roof. Very close to its modern facilities are also located the ruined remnants of the authentic, older church of the Saint that dates from the 18th century. Owing to its isolated location in the mountain and its small interior space, it functions mainly as a pilgrimage site and is not available for secular sacraments.
