Hermitage of Saint Demetrios

The Holy Hermitage of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrios the Myrrh-Streaming is a modern men's monastic brotherhood, which is located in the community of Agia Varvara in the Nicosia district. It belongs ecclesiastically to the Holy Metropolis of Tamasos and Oreini, functioning as a spiritual refuge and a space of continuous worship and prayer. The church and the facilities of the hermitage follow the Byzantine church building, while the space is known for the regular devout vigils that are organized, attracting the faithful from the wider area.
