Holy Church of Dormition of Theotokos

This church is located in the central fabric of the community of Avgorou, at a very short distance from the central parish church of the village. It was erected in the middle of the 20th century on land donated by the local priest Father Perikles, with the financial contribution and the offerings of the area's inhabitants who follow the patristic (old) calendar. The structure follows the simple traditional line of the Cypriot countryside and is the basic place of worship of the Old Calendarist community in Avgorou.
