Holy Church of Holy Unmercenaries

The Holy Church of the Unmercenaries Kosmas and Damianos is the central parish church of the community of Agioi Trimithias in the Nicosia district. The very name of the village is inextricably linked with this church, as in earlier times the area was known simply as Agioi. It is a large edifice in the basilica style, which gathers crowds of faithful from the wider Tamassos region during the annual festival of the Saints. Inside the church, old icons and holy relics of the miracle-working Unmercenary physicians are kept with reverence.
