Holy Church of Holy Unmercenaries

The Holy Unmercenaries (Agioi Anargyroi), according to tradition, passed through the village of Agioi in Vavatsinia, where their church stands (1871), built upon an older church of the 16th century. The church stands out for its wood-carved iconostasis, its wall paintings and the old icons that were found buried. Together with the holy spring (agiasma) and the 'mastic tree of the Saints', they are important monuments of the local tradition and faith.
