Holy Church of Panagia Eleousas

This exceptionally old religious monument dates back to the 12th century and is located within the administrative boundaries of the community of Archimandrita in Paphos, connected mainly with the area of Kato Archimandrita. It is a small, restored stone chapel, from which valuable medieval icons survive that are today kept for protection in the Byzantine Museum of Paphos. Owing to the deserted character of the old settlement, the church functions as a quiet station for individual prayer and historical touring within the wild nature of the area.
