Holy Church of Panagia Eleousis

This is the central parish church of the village, which is dedicated to the Nativity of the Theotokos, although it bears the name of Panagia Eleousa on its main icon. The present church was founded around the perimeter of an older, long and narrow church so as to preserve exactly the same spot that was considered blessed. The structure is surrounded on three sides by the river that crosses the mountain community, offering a unique and contemplative landscape.
