Holy Church of Panagia of Moutoulla

This historic monument is included in the official list of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage and is an exceptionally rare example of a timber-roofed church. Its construction was carried out thanks to the financial donations of a wealthy inhabitant and his wife, who are indeed depicted in a relevant donor wall painting. Inside it, unique works of ecclesiastical art of the thirteenth century are preserved, making the site an invaluable treasure for the religious history of the place.
