Holy Church of Panagia (Ruins)

This is a medieval church located in the occupied village of Gypsou in the Famagusta district. This church bears significant historical value and preserves distinctive architectural elements of the middle Byzantine period of Cyprus. Owing to the Turkish occupation since 1974, the monument remains inaccessible for the free conduct of sacraments, while from time to time efforts are made for its digital recording and conservation by the competent bodies.
