Holy Church of Panagia Theotokos

The historic church of Panagia the Theotokos, also known as Panagia Theoskepasti, is located in the core of mountainous Kalopanagiotis, at a very short distance from the monastery of Saint John Lampadistis. It is a traditional timber-roofed church of Marathasa, which is protected by a large exterior tiled roof for the needs of winter. The interior of the church is characterised by an exceptionally contemplative atmosphere, housing valuable relics and rare icons of great archaeological value.
