Holy Church of Saint Barbara

This large parish church of Limassol was built in the early 1970s at the space where formerly the community cemetery was located. It is an imposing structure in cruciform style with a dome, which was recently radically renovated with the removal of the exterior coatings so as to highlight its traditional stone. In its interior is kept with reverence a historic pilgrimage icon of the Saint, while its spacious design includes a wooden carved iconostasis and a large women's gallery.
