Holy Church of Saint Eleftherios

This modern church is located in the southern part of the Municipality of Mesa Geitonia and was erected to replace an older prefabricated structure of the 1970s. It follows the architectural type of the three-aisled cruciform basilica with an octagonal central dome and has a large underground space that functions as an events hall and chapel. The structure stands out for its covered wooden entrances and its surrounding space that is arranged with special access ramps. It is an important spiritual center for the parish, hosting daily the worship needs of the faithful of the area.
