Holy Church of Saint George Arediou

This historic church dominates the center of the community of Arediou in the Nicosia district and is the main church of the village. This single-space church with groin vaults was erected in the early 20th century, replacing an older and smaller religious structure of the area. In the precinct of the church stands out an extremely rare early Christian baptistery in the shape of a cross that dates from the end of the 5th century. Owing to its central location, its large comforts, and its rich historical value, the church operates normally and is an excellent choice for sacraments.
