Holy Church of Saint George Chavouzas

This imposing church is located on the western side of Limassol, very close to the eponymous roundabout of the highway. The present church was erected in the mid-1980s, replacing an older structure of 1903 that originally functioned as a small monastery. The name of the area and the church comes from the historic "havouza," a large stone water reservoir that was constructed there during the period of British rule.
