Holy Church of Saint Neophytos Synoikismou Makariou G'

This modern parish church is built in the heart of the refugee settlement of Archbishop Makarios III in Kato Polemidia of Limassol. Architecturally it is designed as a three-aisled basilica without a dome, having replaced an older prefabricated structure that temporarily served the displaced residents. The building combines a skeleton of reinforced concrete with a beautiful exterior facing of local Limassol stone, while its middle aisle is roofed with a visible, traditional wooden gabled ceiling.
