Holy Church of Saint Nikita

This refugee chapel is located within the administrative boundaries of Geri-Latsia and functions as a special place of worship for the displaced inhabitants of the occupied village of Agios Nikitas, Morphou. The small church was built after 1974 to keep alive the memory, tradition and bonds of the refugee community in free Nicosia. Services are held there regularly, while the surrounding space is a meeting point and a source of spiritual support for the villagers everywhere. Owing to its limited interior space and its special purpose, it is not suitable for the celebration of weddings or baptisms.
