Holy Church of Saint Paraskevi (Ruins)

A historic residential church with great emotional value, which dominates the occupied village at the foothills of the Pentadaktylos mountain range. In the interior of its iconostasis the date of its erection was formerly inscribed, being the religious focal point of the residents before their violent displacement. Unfortunately, after the events of nineteen seventy-four, the stone structure was completely abandoned, with the result that today it presents a picture of advanced ruin with bare walls and broken crosses. The space remains completely without services and an inaccessible spiritual refuge for the displaced community.
