Holy Church of Saint Paraskevi

This particular historic church of the occupied town is a representative example of a single-aisled longitudinal basilica that bears a covering of groin vaults. After the events of the Turkish invasion of 1974, the structure was savagely plundered and all its movable worship equipment was violently removed. Subsequently, this religious monument radically changed use as it was converted into a Muslim mosque, remaining inaccessible for the displaced Christian faithful.
