Holy Church of Saints Constantine and Helen

This unique church dominates the centre of the settlement and presents the worldwide phenomenon of being built exactly upon a bridge that joins the two sides of the village. According to ecclesiastical tradition, its original founding is attributed to Saint Helen during her return from the Holy Land. The present stone church has an impressive dome and houses a remarkable ecclesiastical museum with invaluable relics and a fragment of the True Cross.
