Holy Church of Transfiguration of the Saviour

This large and imposing church is the religious and social focal point of the government settlement of Anthoupolis in Lakatamia. Its construction began a few years after the Turkish invasion to permanently meet the spiritual needs of the thousands of displaced refugees who settled there. It has a modern and spacious architectural structure with a large forecourt, while its interior is fully arranged to host large congregations. Owing to its size, infrastructure and importance to the area, the church is ideal for the celebration of weddings and baptisms.
