Holy Church of Transfiguration of the Saviour

This beautiful church, known to the locals also as Chrysosotiros, is the central religious core of the community of Drymou in Paphos. Its construction follows the type of the single-aisled basilica with traditional stone masonry and a tiled roof, harmonising the structure fully with the traditional stone houses of the village. Inside it, an austere and deeply contemplative atmosphere is maintained, where the inhabitants gather for their worship needs. The church celebrates with particular splendour every year on 6 August, attracting crowds of faithful from the wider semi-mountainous area.
