Holy Church of Transfiguration of the Saviour

The modern Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Saviour rises in the centre of Kakopetria and is the new parish church of the community. The structure follows the cross-in-square style with a dome and a timber-roofed tiled covering, harmonising fully with the traditional architecture of the Troodos area. It was built to meet the growing needs of the inhabitants and of the numerous holidaymakers who flood the village.
