Holy Monastery of Panagia Salamiotissa

The Holy Monastery of Panagia Salamiotissa is located a little outside the community of Salamiou in the Paphos district and today functions as a women's cenobium. From the original monastic complex of the sixteenth century survives the small, stone-built katholikon, which is surrounded by modern restored wings. In the monastery is kept the eponymous miraculous icon of the Theotokos of the thirteenth century, attracting many pilgrims during its annual festival.
