Holy Monastery of Panagia Trikoukkiotissas

This is one of the oldest women's monasteries of the island, hidden within the dense forest of Troodos near Prodromos. The monastery experienced great flourishing during the Frankish rule and the Ottoman rule, while it was fully renovated and reopened in recent decades. Its katholikon is a simple wooden-roofed church, where the renowned miraculous icon of the Panagia is kept, to which the faithful historically resorted in periods of great drought.
