Holy Monastery Symvoulou Christ - Saint George

The men's Holy Monastery of Saint George Symvoulou Christou is one of the oldest religious monuments of Cyprus, as its founding dates back to the 6th to 7th century. It is located in a remote location near the village of Sotira, within the boundaries of the British Bases. After centuries of desolation owing to raids, the space was rediscovered in the 1990s and fully restored, functioning today as an active, traditional monastic complex with strict rules of spiritual life.
