Holy Moni Saint Nicholas

The Holy Monastery of Saint Nicholas is located to the west of the community of Orounta, built near the banks of the Serrachis River. Its katholikon is a single-aisled church with a dome, constructed of carefully worked limestone blocks that highlight its historic identity. After a long period of desolation, the monastery was fully restored and functions today as an active women's cenobium, attracting many of the faithful who honor the memory of Saint Nicholas but also of Saint Philoumenos.
