Monastery of Saint Marina

This is a historic women's monastic complex, officially known as the Holy Monastery of Saint Marina and Saints Raphael, Nikolaos and Irene, which is located outside Xylotympou on land of the British Bases. The monastery developed around the original medieval country chapel of Saint Marina, with the women's sisterhood settling there in the late 1980s. Today the site includes newer chapels and a large central church, being one of the best-known and most active places of pilgrimage of the whole district.
