Old Church of Saint Panteleimon

The old church of Saint Panteleimon is found in the ruined and abandoned original settlement at Palaia Choletria in Paphos. The religious structure was originally located at a distance from the community, near the bed of the local river. The church suffered irreparable and very serious structural damage from the powerful catastrophic earthquake of 1953, an event that led to the desertion of the old village and to the subsequent construction of the new central church.
