Old Holy Church of Archangel Michael

To the north-east of Dierona lies the old church of Archangel Michael, which has been declared a protected ancient monument. This historic structure served the inhabitants during the centuries of foreign rule and now functions as the community's cemetery church. Architecturally it is a vaulted church with a gabled roof, on which extensive restoration works were carried out to save its few interior wall paintings.
