Panagia Asprovouniotissa

This noteworthy medieval country chapel is located about five kilometres north-west outside the village of Frenaros, on the road that leads towards Vrysoulles. It is a single-aisled vaulted basilica with a narthex, which is sturdily built with rough stones of the area, except for its corners which have carefully hewn poros stones. The surrounding space of the church has been suitably arranged into a beautiful excursion area and park, being an exceptionally popular spot for organising community events, summer youth parties and family sacraments.
