Panagia Chryseleousa

This noteworthy medieval church is located in the centre of the community of Polemi in the Paphos district and is dedicated to Panagia the Chryseleousa. The stone edifice essentially consists of two joined churches of different periods, with the older section preserving elements of the 13th century. Inside it, rare Byzantine wall paintings and an elaborate iconostasis are preserved, making the church a valuable historic and spiritual jewel for the whole area.
