Panagia Elevtherotria

This is a small and plain country chapel which is built on the grounds of the Monument to the Heroes of EOKA 1955-59, in the mountainous area between the communities of Pelendri and Amiantos. The church is built externally with the traditional stone of the area, harmonising fully with the lush green and wild natural landscape. Owing to its location, it functions as a place of historical memory and religious contemplation, where passers-by and visitors of the monument can light a candle and pray.
